Yes! CutMagic is live and ready to use. Sign up for a free account to start fixing and creating SVG files for your cutting machine. Pro tier members enjoy priority processing and 48-hour early access to new features.

CutMagic works with ALL cutting software that accepts SVG files. This includes Design Space, Silhouette Studio, Brother CanvasWorkspace, Sure Cuts A Lot, Make The Cut, and many more. If your software imports SVGs, CutMagic will work.

CutMagic fixes your SVG files BEFORE you upload them to Design Space (or any other cutting software). We eliminate pattern fills, reduce nodes, flatten clipping paths, and convert text to outlines - all the things that cause 'upload failed' errors. Think of us as your SVG pre-processor.

Credits are used for AI-powered operations. Fixing an SVG uses 1-2 credits depending on complexity. Generating a new SVG uses 2-3 credits. Free tier gets 25 credits, Hobbyist gets 200, and Crafter gets 750. Credits never expire.

Absolutely! All pre-orders are 100% refundable before launch - no questions asked. After launch, Pro and Hobby members have a 30-day money-back guarantee. We want you to be completely happy with CutMagic.

Yes! We use bank-level SSL encryption for all data transfers. Your uploaded files are processed securely and automatically deleted within 24 hours. We never share your files or data with third parties.

We accept SVG files for fixing and optimization. For AI generation, you can input text descriptions. All outputs are delivered as clean, optimized SVG files ready for your cutting machine.

Currently, CutMagic processes files through our cloud servers for best results. Files process in seconds with a stable connection. We're exploring offline options for Pro users in the future.

The most common causes are: too many nodes or layers (Design Space struggles with highly detailed files), pattern fills (not supported - they upload as blank shapes), embedded raster images inside the SVG, text that wasn't converted to paths, and files over the 5MB limit. Running your file through CutMagic's free SVG Analyzer will tell you exactly which of these is the problem.

Design Space shows this error when an SVG has more detail than it can process - usually thousands of nodes from auto-traced images, deeply nested groups, or many separate paths. The fix is to simplify the file: reduce node counts, merge overlapping paths, and flatten unnecessary groups. CutMagic's SVG Fixer does this automatically while preserving the visible design.

A quick pre-upload checklist: 1) Convert all text to paths/outlines so missing fonts can't break the design. 2) Remove or flatten clipping masks and pattern fills. 3) Delete hidden layers and stray points. 4) Keep the file under 5MB. 5) Check that shapes you want cut separately are separate paths. Our free Upload Optimizer and Text to Path tools handle the most common steps.

A blank or solid-black upload usually means the SVG uses features your cutting software ignores: pattern fills, gradients applied as masks, embedded images, or CSS-styled colors it can't read. The shapes are still there - the styling isn't. Converting fills to plain path fills and flattening effects fixes it, which is one of the standard repairs CutMagic applies.

Yes - Cricut Design Space rejects uploads over 5MB. Auto-traced SVGs often blow past this because tracing creates thousands of tiny nodes. Reducing node count typically shrinks files by 80-90% with no visible quality loss, which brings almost any craft file back under the limit.
